Our Reactive Dog Board & Train programs are designed for dogs struggling with reactivity, aggression, fear-based behavior, or poor impulse control. These immersive 4-week and 6-week programs provide the structure, consistency, and professional guidance needed to help dogs learn how to think before reacting.
This program focuses on creating calm, controlled behavior both on-leash and off-leash while teaching owners how to maintain long-term results at home.
Program Overview
Program Cost & Length:
$4,200 for 4 weeks
$6,000 for 6 weeks
An in-person evaluation is required before enrollment to determine suitability and program length.
Who IS This Program Is For?
This program is designed for dogs experiencing leash reactivity, fear-based aggression, resource guarding, excessive barking, lunging or snapping, low impulse control, or a history of bite risk or escalating behavior.
Behavior modification is recommended when basic obedience alone is not enough.
How DOES Behavior
Modification Training Work?
Behavior modification focuses on changing both the dog’s emotional response and behavior patterns. Rather than simply stopping unwanted behavior, we teach dogs new, appropriate responses to triggers.
Each dog receives a customized training plan based on their behavior history, specific triggers and stressors, temperament and confidence level, and the owner’s goals for long-term success.
Training takes place in controlled environments and gradually progresses into real-world situations where the behavior normally occurs.
Board & Train Structure
Initial Evaluation
& First Session
Your program begins with an in-person evaluation. We review your dog’s history, assess behavior, and define training goals. This first visit also includes initial training guidance so you leave with immediate management strategies.
Immersive Board & Train
During the program, your dog stays at our facility and follows a structured daily routine that includes multiple focused training sessions each day, controlled trigger exposure and desensitization, confidence-building exercises, on-leash and off-leash obedience foundations, and calm behavior practice in real-world environments.
Owners receive regular photo and video updates throughout the program.
Owner Transition & Support
Owner training sessions are scheduled during and after the program to ensure you fully understand your dog’s new training, can safely and confidently handle your dog at home, and know how to maintain results long-term.
Follow-up support is provided after completion. Training does not end when your dog goes home.
Training Method
We use a balanced training approach based on all four quadrants of operant conditioning. Training begins in low-distraction environments and progresses into higher-distraction, real-life settings.
When appropriate, tools such as prong collars and e-collars may be introduced using trusted brands including Garmin, Educator Technologies, and SportDOG. All tools are used responsibly and paired with clear communication and rewards.
Is This Program a Good Fit?
This program is best suited for dogs who require behavior modification beyond basic obedience, benefit from professional structure and consistency, need controlled exposure to triggers, and must develop improved impulse control for safer behavior both in public and at home.
Severe cases are evaluated individually. Not all dogs qualify for this program.
