Andover Dog Training Center and grooming salon
Terms & Conditions
This Contract is made between Andover Dog Training Center (hereinafter referred to as "ADTC") and the undersigned pet owner (hereinafter referred to as "Owner").
-
The Owner agrees to pay a $500 deposit at the time of booking for all Board and Train or Day Training programs. The remaining balance is due on the first day of training. For any lesson of class owner agrees to pay the full balance at time of registration.
2. Communication: The Owner must maintain contact with ADTC in the event of scheduling conflicts. Any lessons that are rescheduled or canceled more than 24 hours prior to start time will have a credit that can be used for a future lesson or another service option. A cancelation less than 5 hours prior to start time will have a forfeited payment and a new payment will be required to reschedule. This is based upon ADTC’s discretion.
3. Vaccination Requirements: The Owner confirms that the pet has been vaccinated against Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, and Bordetella within the required timeframes. Proof of current vaccination is mandatory at check-in.
4. Limitation of Liability: ADTC shall not be liable for any injury, illness, theft, or fatality occurring during the pet's training. The Owner accepts full responsibility for any incidents involving their pet while at ADTC.
5. Photography Release: The Owner authorizes the use of their pet's photographs and videos by ADTC for any purpose.
6. Age: All dogs must be a minimum of 12 weeks old and fully vaccinated to start the training program.
7. Right to Refuse or Cancel Training: ADTC reserves the right to refuse entry into the training program or to cancel a dog’s participation at any time during the training if there are concerns regarding the health, safety, or well-being of the dog or any other parties involved, including staff, other dogs, or clients. This includes, but is not limited to, issues related to the dog’s medical condition, behavioral concerns, or any other factors that may pose a risk to the dog or others during the training process. In such cases, the Owner will be notified promptly, and refunds will be issued based upon a prorated amount for lessons completed and the cost of the training equipment provided to the owner.
8. Training Success: The result of the training program is based on the involvement the Owner puts in on their own time. Training success is not based solely on these lessons. Training homework is required for any high success rate.
9. Medical Attention: If the pet requires medical attention, the Owner authorizes ADTC to involve a veterinarian at its discretion. The Owner is responsible for all expenses related to such medical treatment and transportation to the veterinarian.
10. Age: All board and train clients must be a minimum of 6 months old to start the board & train program with the exception of large breed dogs like Great Danes or Mastiffs any questions or concerns on breed type can be directed to Scotty Sexton Owner/Trainer.
11. Dog Food Provision Clause: For Board & Train clients the Owner agrees to provide sufficient food for their dog for the entire duration of the training program, including an additional [two (2)] days to account for any extenuating circumstances or unforeseen delays. The amount of food provided must be adequate to meet the dog’s nutritional needs, accounting for an increase in exercise and activity levels during the training period, which may lead to a higher rate of calorie consumption than the dog is accustomed to. It is the Owner's responsibility to ensure that the food provided is properly packaged, clearly labeled with the dog’s name, and sufficient to last for the training duration, including the extra days. In the event that additional food is required due to unforeseen circumstances or adjustments in the dog’s activity level, the Owner will be responsible for supplying and covering the cost of any extra food required.
12. Non-Responsibility for Owner’s Items Clause: The Owner acknowledges and agrees that ADTC (the "Training Center") is not responsible for any personal items left for the dog, including but not limited to collars, leashes, beds, toys, or any other belongings provided by the Owner. The Owner assumes all risks related to the loss, damage, or theft of such items. ADTC will make reasonable efforts to care for the dog and its belongings, but is not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of items left with the dog during the training period.
13. Medication Responsibility: For Board and Train or Day Train dogs the Owner agrees to provide all necessary medications required for the dog’s health and well-being during the training program. This includes, but is not limited to, any routine medications or treatments that the dog may need while at ADTC. The Owner is solely responsible for ensuring that the dog has an adequate supply of any prescribed medications for the entire duration of the training program. In the event that, during the course of the training, it becomes apparent that the dog requires additional medications, such as those for anxiety, nausea, or other conditions to make the training experience more comfortable, the Owner agrees to contact the dog’s veterinarian to obtain and provide such medications. ADTC is not responsible for diagnosing, prescribing, or administering any medication not previously provided by the Owner.
14. Termination of training for boarding or day training dogs: In the event that either the Client or the Trainer chooses to discontinue the training program without scheduling a future date for resumption, the Client shall remain responsible for the following financial obligations:
- The nonrefundable deposit of $500, which was paid at the time of booking.
- A prorated fee calculated based on the number of days the pet has participated in the training program. This prorated amount will be determined by the total cost of the program divided by the total number of days in the program, multiplied by the number of days that the dog was present for training.

E-Collar Acknowledgment and Release Form
I, the undersigned, understand and agree to the following terms regarding the use of the e-collar system that will be provided to me by Andover Dog Training Center as part of my dog’s training program:
I acknowledge that I will receive instruction from Andover Dog Training Center on the proper use and fit of the e-collar system. I agree that I will take full responsibility for the safe, appropriate, and responsible use of the e-collar on my dog. This includes, but is not limited to, any potential negligence or misuse.
I understand and agree to follow all guidance provided to me, including the following:
-
I will only have the e-collar on my dog when I am present and supervising. I will remove the collar whenever I am not actively with my dog.
-
I will remove the e-collar each night before bed (or during the day if I work night shifts and sleep during the day).
-
When placing the collar on my dog, I will ensure it is fitted to the recommended "three-finger tightness" as instructed by Andover Dog Training Center.
-
If my dog will be wearing the collar for more than 3–4 hours at a time, I will check and adjust its position on my dog’s neck to prevent irritation or pressure sores.
-
I will place the collar unit only on the neck below the ears, as instructed.
-
If the collar or the area around it becomes wet, I will promptly remove the collar, dry the dog’s neck, and then reposition the collar as appropriate.
-
I will not attach a leash directly to the e-collar. I will use a separate collar to avoid unnecessary friction or pressure on my dog’s neck.
By signing below, I affirm that I understand and accept the responsibility for using the e-collar system safely and appropriately. I hereby waive and release Andover Dog Training Center, its employees, contractors, owners, and agents from any and all claims or liability arising from participation in training services or use of the e-collar, including but not limited to injury or damage resulting from the actions of any dog, including my own.
I further agree to hold harmless Andover Dog Training Center from any resulting medical expenses, legal claims, or associated costs stemming from the misuse or misapplication of the e-collar system.
